IMHO we should talk more about the HUGE scars the Old World left on the planet. All for clout and cash until everything started collapsing. Classic humanity. Mining is one of the things we do differently around here. Less profit, more "let's not destroy literally everything."
We also dig up stuff from Old Earth. Not only because they're cool, but because forgetting what extraction cost us would be the real disaster. Memory's basically the only thing stopping us from rerunning the same dumpster fire. No pressure, though.
